Tower
clocks are especially made for outdoor locations suitable for Public or
Private buildings, schools, churches, mosques, universities, memorials,
etc. There are two types of tower clocks - Mechanical and Electrically
operated.
Mechanical Tower Clocks are driven by weights suspended by wire ropes and pulleys and time is regulated by long pendulum .
The movements are capable of operating 3 feet dial to 8 feet dial, single, double, three or four faced dials.
The movement parts are made with best steel, gun metal, bronze
materials, steel wire rope, solid steel pinion and cast iron gears are
used to withstand outdoor climatic condition, wear and tear, etc.
Electrically operated Tower Clocks
system comprises a Heavy Duty Stepper Motor Driven Central SLAVE
MECHANISM connected by Bevel Gear Box to 4 sets of Dial Trains (
attached to the back of the dials) through connecting rods - suitable
for Non-Striking Tower Clock.
It works on regular impulse signals from Quartz Electronic impulse generator.
Dials can be illuminated from inside with translucent dial made of
thick imported acrylic sheet. Opaque dials can be provided which can be
illuminated from external sources. A wide range of dials can be
provided to suit individual architectural features. Striking
arrangement can be provided as optional extra for hourly chime for the
Mechanical Tower Clocks.
The significant features of Mechanical Tower clocks against Electronic
clocks are that the Mechanical clocks can withstand extreme
environmental factors at heights and life expectancy of these clocks
are much higher than any type of clocks usually 20 years and even more.
